The Three Muses

The Three Muses is a family business in the field of tourist accommodation which with love and passion has built two villas, Klio and Erato.
The three Muses are located in Kalamaki, a beautiful seaside village in southern Crete.
In a landscape of incomparable wild beauty bathed in sunlight and stripped of unnecessary luxuries and with the sea at their feet, the three Muses on the south side of Crete, Klio, Erato and Thalia (under construction) found refuge.
The privacy, the location, the serenity of the sea, the beach and the unobstructed view of the Libyan Sea offer the visitor unique moments of relaxation and enjoyment.

 

Mythology

Klio. Muse of history. Its symbols were the trumpet, the hourglass and was depicted with parchments and a laurel wreath on the head.
Erato. Muse of lyric poetry and hymns. It is depicted with a lyre. She was considered the protector of marriage and love.
The Muses in ancient Greek mythology were nine deities. They lived on Olympus and their parents said the god Zeus and Mnemosyne. Originally these deities were nymphs of the mountain and the waters, The Muses entertained the Olympian gods at banquets by singing lyre to them. They were smart and beautiful, they had a special love for music and fine arts.
